Ok really out of funny idea liao haha... so did a bit of old work style. happen to saw this tv show "Reapers" haha.. quite a funny show. so think of a new char. haha.. name reaper.

haha... yesterday did a reaper without "attuidy", but after was hyde reaper haha... i got a freaky idea again. haha.. but this is a edit ver of my new reaper i think i have more think to add. Cheer! for the upgrading of reaper :xD:

Very cool reaper and "badass" samurai(should be ronin ba? XP ) you have there! I really admire your character drawings cos they just look so solid, firmly-on-the-ground believable even when doing extreme poses! :D
btw, thanks for looking at my manga drawing! Feel free to grab any character you like. Drakenspell or Spirit of Tooth also can. But paiseh not Rainyskies, cos the characters are not my own (drawing for author) so I can't give permission. Ok? XP

The "bearcostume" character's perspective seems not quite in line with the rest, but other than that the pic is cool. ^^

Hmmm, looking back at the pics... well personally at this moment I still prefer your "messy-many-line" sort of drawing, even for the coloured pics... sort of fits in with the "effortless, heck-care" look of the characters, ya know? But I suppose it's also too early to say, since you've only just started exploring in this "neat-line" direction.

Lin: haha.. thank got the bink bink feel. haha.. the reason for the clean look is due to my friend lor, always yesterday i have no complete work. all is like half-half one, never clean the line and stuff. so thinking of doing a clean one.haha... but it really not as nice as the sketeh one.
Hyde: haha... yup i use the colour to fit in to the char tone but i think my colour still need alot of improvtment.

Haha.. is been a while since i draw a gal sketeh. 2 of my char design Gun girl and Kong Fu J (KJ)
KJ looks so "wuxia" and "zheng yi" in this pose; really makes me laugh! XD
Gun girl is also full of attitude! Her wide mouth makes her look a little scary, though. ^^;

Ah no band really ^_^;;. Just a bunch of friends who get together and jam on and off, if our schedules can work out in the first place. That itself is als very hard to come by.
I'm mostly a fan of Jamiroquai/Stu Zender, but also branch out to classic rock such as Iron Maiden/Deep Purple/Rainbow/Eagles etc. Though at the end of the day, its all the greats that inspire me, especially Jaco Pastorious.
Nice long list of sketches, lots of attitude. You might want to try manually fleshing out a background, I think your style will add on more atmosphere of the picture. Look for reference and work from it.

Ya the expressions quite different (*gasp, alienj is drawing normal pple and stuff! O.O... XP ), but the style still does have some similarities. Still like your lines... there're a lot but the curves and shapes are nice. XD

airflow is cool~ for reference u might wanna take a look at http://lastscionz.deviantart.com/ if u haven't already heard of him. i reckon it'd be quite similar to what you're doing.
Ah I see. I'm afraid I'm not into slamming out root notes throughout a song, regardless of language or genre. At the same time my schedule is pretty much a warzone, too many things to juggle, somemore got reservice coming early next year, sian. heh.
Back to topic, you might want to get your proportions right before you atempt any detail on a picture. Its better to have a strong foundation to build the detail on. Check the postion of the nose, ear and eye, they go hand in hand and are very noticable even if a bit off. The position of the mouth is not so sensetive as it can still look alright unless you are doing a very photo- relistic image. You can usually pull off weird mouth positions as long as the other parts of the face are right, this is extremely common in cartoons or animation.
For background, the best way is to really draw what you see. I can't really say there is a bao jia method to getting down to backgrounds IMHO. The best I can say is not to be too choosy, especially when you are learning. We always like to draw what we like rather than what we see, and I think that is one of the biggest hurdle any artist has to balance out.
Draw from photos or images, or if you have a camera, go snap some phtotographs and try to render them in PS, painter etc when you get back. Don't go overboard with colour as it is always tempting to spice up a picture with all the effects and such. Most of all is to practice, no shortcut to learning things.

Looks uber cool with the more fitting clothes, the bottle strapped to his thigh, and wa, is that an ice-sword I see? The lines are more rugged, which I think suits the character, though a bit furry(but can't complain; my lines are even furrier. XP ).
And I like the colours, though I'm not too sure about the position of the shadows. ^^

Well, actually I did think it looked a bit like a laser sword also la, but the colour and the little "crack-line" looking lines at the hilt made me decide to assume "ice" instead. XP

Okies, other than that, I think it might look more drama if you kinda make it really big and position it slightly off centre. So that it's more "attitudy" and in-your-face. Kindof play around with the layout some more.
Nice sketches from AFA and nice design for the shirt! You can try going a single tone for the shirt design, and enlarging the merman character. Right now it seems a crammed with the text and image in the centre.
