Hi everyone~ :smilieBlush:

I used to post under the handle "Darkwind was here" (due to Darkwind already being taken) at the old sganime forums many years ago. "Purutaru" is my deviantart handle so please do not be confused by me :xD:

Primarily i am a hobbyist when it comes to drawing - throughout the years i have drawn and stopped many times (usually due to other RL commitments or video games.. orz ) only to start again.

I started drawing about 10 years ago, using pencil and switched to digital art 7 years ago when i got my first Wacom Tablet as a birthday present; ever since then i exclusively "draw" using the graphics tablet. :smilieHappy:

On the whole i prefer drawing online (in Oekaki and paintchats) over using offline programs such as Photoshop / Opencanvas / SAI etc. That's because i find it fun when you see other people with the same interest creating content / art while you are doing the same. (sadly none of my RL friends draw :cry: ) Maybe its my own way of substituting those wonderful drawing gathering at YMCA and Bugis Junction so many years ago? :smilieCute:

I wanted to draw a fence / railing in (which is why one of her hands are drawn in a "grip" posture) but i decided to leave the background out in the end (chicken)

I have a shaded version as well (which added in her navel) but till today i still prefer this version :xD:

Maka from Souleater caught up in the KiraKira Meme - Did this in Oekaki Central and colored in SAI :smilieHappy: Can't compare to the piece someone else did of Nunally from Code Geass doing the same pose and holding the Key of Damocles as the mike :xD:

Like 1 confidence stroke = 1 clean line compared to many sketchy lines to form a line :P

actually i do draw quite messily; just that i erase and redraw the lines after the character pose is more or less finalized. The benefit of using digital medium :)

Your drawings are really great! The lines n colours are beautiful, but I especially admire the anatomy(shoulders, clavicles, elbows, poses, poses at different perspectives, etc) which looks sooo just nice, just "there". 8D

The detailing(clothes, etc) is really good too. O.O

note:
For the 2nd picture (gal with handphone), i looked at the original (from a magazine booklet) and tried to sketch it out from impression; was pretty fun and good for practice. It isnt so "animeish" - i would like to be able to draw like that naturally in the future :cry:

jus got a wacom 2 days ago, tried some drawing but my lines seems to be wiggly~ >.<
