Creative and technical innovation is core to animation's future. While story is king, new techniques and tools pave the way for unqiue visual style and new and more efficient ways of working.
The Picturehouse welcomes the Director of the Pratt Digital Arts Research Lab and former Character Technical Director at PDI/Dreamworks on "SHREK 4D", "SHREK 2", and "MADAGASCAR". Rob O'Neill is also a founding partner at "Kickstand: Animation Research + Design".This talk looks at a number of technologies on the horizon and impacts they might have on the art form.
