At the Expo, quite far away!

Thinking of purchasing the Panasonic Lumix L3 and a scanner.

I think the fair was quite small... not much deals compared to the previous ones held at suntec.
Nevertheless, I bought an epson scanner and G10 camera :smilieDumb::smilieDumb::smilieDumb:

Oh wow, a G10, did you do your research before buying at the fair? IT Fairs usually sell you at SRP so camera shops would actually be more ideal.

Canon G10 yeah? Do share some photos of your new baby!

P.S why did you choose G10 over LX3?

I went to check out forums, saw a deal which was not bad. There were around 10 over or so people who wanted to do bulk purchase at Alan photo. But alas, I don't want to join the forum just to reply to that.

I heard that the ITshows usually have more freebies. But I feel that this Sitex fair was mostly monopolized by Harvey Norman...
Anyway, my mind was bent on getting a camera at the fair (especially at Expo so far).

Basically the x5 zoom was the main factor for me to purchase the G10 than LX3 :p

I gotta get accustomed to the camera operations these few days then head down to Penang this long weekend to take some photos :D

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :xD:

I don't know about your freebies but do you need it or is it really worth it? I was eyeing on a FZ 28 previously and the freebies they were giving justified the extra 100 bucks but what would I do with a 8 gig memory? Cameras which are not designed to handle big memory cards may experience slow down <--- just a sample case study.

Also, since G10 is relatively new to the market, there might not be enough people to complain about its downside yet for you to know its weakness.

I know you've already bought the camera and all but just sharing with you some information next time you want to get a camera ;)

Nevertheless Canon produces good cameras too, have fun with your new baby! :D

Edit: If you don't plan to get an external flash, you might want to DIY a diffuser for your built in flash in case you need to use it. Diffused flash looks more natural than raw. I read somewhere you can simply get a white film cannister, cut out the size of your flash and simply fit it on ;)

Haha why worry so much, just buy and use XD

I'm not a good photographer, just need my camera to be smart and take point-and-shoot photos which are clearer than my 5-yr old Sony (which you know is very slow).

Because eventually you'd find yourself in need of something your camera lacks XD
