Nice models! Amazing that you did them at your own free time
I guess the first two are your initial attempts? Because I can tell from the surface that you'd probably worked on the details at a higher subdiv in zbrush, then tried to smoothen it out later. (I had the same problem when I just started) So that's why the skin looks a bit "crumpled".
I'm not sure if you had worked out the base model in max or maya. In Maya, you can add the eyeballs (as a separate poly sphere) then combine into the bust model. Select the spheres and go Create->Sets. After you're done, just export the entire model into zbrush. You can then mask out the spheres by holding.... (sorry I forgot this part, it's in my notes @office)...certain keys.... and click on the eyeballs.
In that way, you can sculpt the eyes better with the eyeballs in the socket and not worry about them not fitting into the face.
Hope it helps, there should be some more tips in zbrushcentral, all the best!!!:smilieCute:

e2: sure, i'll send to u on msn tmr~
eva: thanks :D Actually, the first 2 is my newer attempts >_< but you are right that's what i did :( i sort of mucked about zbrush on my own without learning anything about pipelines or reading the forum tutorials @_@ but i was reading up on scott eason's (he's fabulous!) tutorials, and he advised to slowly sculpt at each subdiv level which was what i did for the body. not sure what you mean about the base models? they were done using zspheres, all in zbrush..
neway, i saw your model (brom isit?), they are awesome! maybe you can share roughly the steps you do, if it's not too troublesome :D i have much to learn from you~! hmm not too bothered about the eyeballs at this time hahha. just wanna get the facial features right, but nevertheless, thanks for the tips, i will definitely keep them in mind~!!

Wow that's awesome with what you can do with zspheres! I think the pipeline has changed greatly since Zbrush2 which I picked up 1.5 years ago. That was when zspheres were not that powerful and we used models exported from Maya into Zbrush (aka. the low poly base models)
I'm not sure if my process for Brom is still applicable into the new work flow since I remember (from the zbrush3 preview demo back then) that you can pose zsphere "joints" in the program.
It's amazing that you are learning these by yourself and off-work!!! (still in amazement mode) Hope we can improve together and be inspired by each other's effort and work. :smilieCute:
Not a 3D guy myself, but great job eitherways! :)

eva: thanks for your encouragement :D i just read your resume and WOW i tell you i am super bowled over! *utmost respect*
yes, zspheres have improved very much with the new version, from the little that i know. No wonder you asked me about maya! Might have been quite abit of a hassle? Alot of artists have been praising the new zspheres, so i assume it's alot of improvement. Yup the joints can be posed in zspheres too, but once they are converted to unified skin then it's irreversible liao. If i remember correctly la.
Well i guess will have to force my lazy self to read up haha. It's inevitable isn't it.
Ya i'll definitely work on more stuff and post here. Honestly, i'm oso hoping sganime will be like the good ol days. keeping fingers crossed :)
Mrv: Thank you so much! Appreciate that :D
