Depends on the publisher/country you are submitting to. But they are all 600dpi
HK/Taiwan/Japan > B4???
Malaysia/Singapore/China > A4???
America > Letter size
Europe > I think larger than B4... not sure...

kraystone, thanks for replying :D nope i'm not submitting to anyone, just want to know and do the correct size anyway. i'm actually very bad at all these technical stuff..duno how i passed haha T_T...
so does it mean when i open a file to draw in photoshop, i must create a (9.8inch X 13.8inch B4 size) with 600dpi? actually because i read somewhere, at www.tentopet.com actually. the artist said that it's better to do 1200dpi. but that's scarily huge O_O

Wow that's amazingly huge. Perhaps it is "Photoshop" standard? In Manga Studio, the default is 600dpi. But Manga Studio gives you more precise/sharp pen strokes than Photoshop.

yup its photoshop...apparantly the people at tokyopop (an american manga publisher and anime distributer i think) require 1200dpi for print? but it is way too big for my computer to handle so i wondered if it's really that necessary.
well ya mangastudio sounds cool~ but don't think i have energy to pick it up :( anyway thanks for the advise kraystone :D i'll try that out now~ ^o^

Oh, I know tokyopop! But 1200dpi for print is quite ridiculous isn't it?
I don't know that they are still having the submission exercise. Well, all the best!!!
