New forum section and some posts had been moved

Eterna2 suggested to have the main artwork forum split into more sections.

So I'd added in a new Artist Sketchbook section and Eterna2 had moved some of the threads over. If you think it was a "wrong move" please pm any of the moderators.

However as for splitting and adding more forums, I would prefer to wait till we have more activity, then split later. Otherwise if there are only a few threads per forum section, people would tend to just click on the latest thread on the main board. Also it would seem that it is unpopular -__-

yep,i agreed too. a general chat will make this place more lively.. (also another place for me to visit when slacking at work :P)

Hi~ Do you guys have more concrete reason/s for adding a general chat forum?

I am worried that it will make people talk more and draw less. Also, will there be people who just join in and chat in the general chat forums? If so, that will defeat the purpose of setting up the board.

If a member really wants to chat off-topic, perhaps exchanging msn accounts or using the private messaging system will be better. That is what I think.

hmm for me the main reason i'd like to see a general chat section would probably be to allow for more interaction between all members, not just those who draw and post; and hopefully this will help build a better community spirit. After all, even artists need to have a break at times :D And I think quite a few of us know each other/actively produce new artwork. But for those who weren't from the old sganime, or those who don't actually draw, but would still like to know other artist friends, they might be quite shy to post at the artwork section initially?

And as for those who join in just to chat, well I think there's already alot of forums created for that purpose (hwz's EDMW, sgcafe etc.) so chances are, not many would do that, imo~

just my two cents, i'll still respect whatever decision is made, irregardless ^_^
