Not exactly strictly for writing but all who're involved in the magazine design process, writers or designers should identify with the video (http://krossi.com/2008/07/17/magazine-page-layout-process). =3

Magazine Page Layout Process
This is a time lapse video of what goes into the process of page design. All of the permutations are quite interesting. Clients should take a look at this and understand that while we do move things around a page and send them a few versions, we move stuff around on the screen and in our heads about 100x more. In actuality, the client is seeing version 200+ by the time they see version 1.

Matt Willey recently recorded his decision-making on a feature design for the Royal Academy magazine. Anyone who’s designed a magazine will recognise the process — a very useful insight into how page designs get arrived at.

x_o Video's gone. I was only involved in designing some magazine pages once (the other was a gradbook XD) so was hoping to see the whole thing.

Huh? It's still there. I just saw it. Maybe you try again?

Interesting video even though I was only involved in the production of magazines.

Omg I swear it said "video is unavailable" back then. *sweat*

But yes, I can watch it now! I've never seen a title edited so many times. XD I do understand the annoyance of having to squeeze lengthy text though.
