Hi everyone~

I'm looking for a new compact/SLR-like camera to buy around end of this year to replace my old 5yr old Sony.

My requirement is that it has to be lithium battery, optical viewfinder, movie/video mode and good quality stills.

I'm currently looking at the following cameras:
Canon G9
Sigma DP1
Sony H10
Panasonic cameras??

I just found out about the DP1 produces amazing quality stills. However reviewers commented that it is slow  and the video is only 320x240:(

Anyone has any comments or recommendations?

Thanks~

You can try S5 IS. I can lend you mine for testing :D

Wow thanks Nevar!
I tried the S5 IS at the Canon store but wasn't sure if the images are sharp enough.
Any complains or pros to it? :P

S5 is quite good in most areas, except there are times when it will have some focusing problem. But it is easy to use as a semi-pro camera. You get to manage the settings manually, and it has hotshoe as well. Personally I adore the Super Macro function, its excellent for shooting products =P Video quality is not bad as well though I rarely use it. You can try checking out the sharpness from my DA pictures, most were shot with my S5 before I got my 40D.
